7 tips for Valentine’s Day

Another holiday is upon us – Valentine’s Day. Being just a few weeks after an already expensive holiday season, Valentine’s day tends to get overlooked, skipped, or celebrated with no thought whatsoever. But guess what? Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be expensive. All you have to do is show that you care and I’m going to help you these 7 tips for Valentine’s Day.

Here are 7 tips for Valentine’s Day

Young lovely couple have romantic dinner indoors together

1. Make a romantic or fun dinner at home. Either make this a couple activity or surprise your partner with his/her favorite meal. Do something completely out of the box and go all out out Gordon Ramsey style.

2. Make a scrapbook with special memories! A page for every year you’ve been together or simply your favorite snap shots. Head to Michaels and buy a scrapbook album, cardstock, stickers, glue stick, and whatever else you think would work. Don’t forget to print out your favorite pictures. FYI – CVS does same day printing.

3. Pharmacy gifts are more than okay. Get the chocolates in the heart shaped box, buy the giant teddy bear and the funny, unrated card. These tend to be the best gifts because it’s straight to the point and awesome!

4. Flowers are not always the right move. I know it’s textbook default gift for Vday, but there are better options that won’t die in a few days. Besides, not everyone likes flowers.

5. Love Coupons are actually more popular than you think. Go the fun route or the sexy and playful direction. But personalize them so it works for your relationship and anything you’re willing to do at a moments notice if and when the coupon is redeemed.

6. Create a whole experience! Scavenger hunts so your partner has to search for their gift. Or do an outside couple activity. Cooking class, rock climbing, escape room, axe throwing, or rage rooms. Whatever makes sense for you guys but make sure its fun and day to remember!

7. Bring home his/her favorite treat or order from Dunkin, Crumbl, Starbucks, the local bakery, brewery, or cantina. Believe me, just getting the order right will go a long way. Simple and sweet. Can’t really go wrong.

It’s okay to be cute and cheesy. That’s kind of the point of the holiday. But pick or do something that makes sense for your partner. Doesn’t matter what direction you go, the important thing is to show that you care and love your significant other. But the best gifts are always the creative ones!!
